The Sales Manager/Director will lead and manage the transition from all active accounts in Canada. This role is crucial in meeting base case revenue, for then driving revenue growth, managing accounts relationships, migrating existing contracts and tenders, successfully integrating of country current customers to the new business model in Canada. Additionally, the Sales Manager/Director will be instrumental in prospecting, qualifying, and recommending the most suitable sales representative(s), leveraging the industry knowledge and expertise to enhance the pre-selected options. The Sales Manager/Director will be pivotal in achieving our revenue goals, with a specific focus on high-priority accounts during the transition period. The Sales Manager/Director will train, coach and manage the team based in Canada and will report to the International Sales VP
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of Caldera Medical’s direct sales strategy in Canada, aligned with international goals.
- Translate global strategic plans into territory-level action plans across regions (East, Central, West).
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and manage Sales Executives and other field-based roles (e.g., Clinical Specialist, Tender Specialist).
- Set clear targets and KPIs; ensure high performance through regular field visits, coaching, and reviews.
- Optimize regional coverage across 119+ accounts, ensuring resource efficiency while maximizing growth potential.
- Develop segmentation and prioritization models (e.g., Key, Strategic and Standard accounts or high-opportunity hospitals).
- Build and manage relationships with top urogynecologists, urologists, GYN surgeons, and hospital influencers.
- Support physicians as speakers, trainers, or clinical partners to grow Caldera’s brand presence.
- Lead strategy for public sector tenders (e.g., HealthPRO, Medbuy, Shared Services) in collaboration with the Contracting & Tender Specialist.
- Manage pricing strategy, GPO submissions, and renewals across provinces.
- Own Canadian revenue forecast and pipeline tracking; ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual projections.
- Deliver sales within defined cost parameters (COGS, profitability, etc.)
- Manage Canadian commercial budget (FTE costs, T&E, marketing spends, congresses, training).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have 4-year degree. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of medical device experience in the OR surgical space.
- 5+ years experience managing a direct and indirect sales team.
- Consistent performance exceeding sales quotas (documented stack rankings).
- Must have proven solid experience and track record on Planning and Executing aligned with Corporate Strategy.
- Willingness to be in field 60% of time with frequent overnight stays required.
