Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer to join our CRM and Marketing Automation team. In this role, you will architect, develop, and manage dynamic campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver personalized, data-driven experiences across email, SMS, and digital channels. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute advanced segmentation strategies, build scalable automations, and ensure flawless campaign execution.

This role is based in the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Manager, Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and deploy campaigns using SFMC Email Studio, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, and Journey Builder
  • Build and troubleshoot HTML/CSS/AMPscript emails, implement tracking, and ensure rendering across devices (QA via Litmus or similar tools)
  • Create and optimize multi-step SQL queries for segmentation, personalization, and campaign logic
  • Develop and manage custom API integrations (REST/SOAP) to support real-time or scheduled data flows
  • Leverage Automation Studio to schedule and orchestrate complex workflows
  • Implement and optimize customer journeys using Journey Builder with dynamic entry criteria, waits, and decision splits
  • Troubleshoot platform issues including data discrepancies, automation failures, and rendering bugs
  • Document technical processes, campaign architecture, and integration flows for ongoing maintenance and onboarding
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Data Engineering, and Business stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and implement new features or journeys
  • Advocate for platform best practices around code reuse, naming conventions, asset management, and deliverability

What You Bring

  • 3–6+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio)
  • Proven experience with AMPscript, SQL, HTML, CSS, and SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, segmentation strategies, and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with SFMC Connectors and integration with external platforms and APIs
  • Ability to scope, prioritize, and manage multiple campaigns or workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to testing and quality assurance
  • Salesforce Certifications preferred: Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant (a plus)
  • Experience with Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Personalization and Pardot (a plus)
  • Experience with Marketo (a plus)

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
