    Senior Account Executive - Federal government experience

    Candidate must be located within commuting distance in Ottawa, ON or to be willing to relocate to the area.

    Our Client is seeking a Senior Account Executive federal government. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design; play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts; deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.     Required Qualifications:

    • Candidate must be located within commuting distance in Ottawa, ON or to be willing to relocate to the area. 
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer system Engineering, software engineering and business administration/CA/MBA or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
    • At least 11 years of Senior Account Executive federal government experience.

    Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
    We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive Federal Government with strong experience with the Canadian Federal Government for our Ottawa location.
    Please note travel for this role may be required.
    As part of our Sales, Marketing and Alliances team, you will play a key role in building and cultivating relationships and opportunities within existing accounts as well as selling new service offerings and solutions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create innovative, high-quality solutions to meet our clients’ business needs.
    The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to offer the customer unique perspectives, have strong two-way communication skills, understand the clients value drivers and business economics and be able to have an effective conversation in regards technology services, offerings and solutions.  The Senior Account Executive is responsible for all client interfaces within the assigned account scope. Focused on the federal public sector, including crown corporations, and based in Ottawa, the current role will be responsible for managing and growing existing client accounts and opening new accounts. The Senior Account Executive reports to the Head of Canada to build and execute a Territory Plan and Account Plans.  

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Client relationship management –manage relationships with operational client personnel – those directly involved with the client service delivery.
    • Business development – build a portfolio of up to $20M - drive revenues within the assigned account scope by being the owner of the entire Opportunity Management Cycle: Prospect-Evaluate-Propose-Close. Conduct research and competitor analysis, create proposals/pitches, validate estimates, deliver client presentations and negotiate with clients.
    • Client delivery assurance – assure the client of Infosys commitment by working collaboratively with the Delivery Managers in the business unit. Take go-to-market solutions to in scope accounts. Work closely with the Solutions Leader to build customized solution positioning for the target account and driving revenues and delivery of those solutions.
    • Account planning and governance - completely responsible for all Client Management processes – Plan-Sell-Deliver-Manage.  Build account plans with details of the relationships required, the opportunities that have to be chased, and the revenue expected from such opportunities, as well as potential threats and weaknesses that need to be addressed. Make pricing decisions within the scope of existing Master Services Agreements. Provide necessary input for building future alliances with relevant product vendors.
    • 11 years of experience with strong sales relationship management and account management.
    • Significant business development experience required.
    • Track record of interacting and building relationship with CXO and senior management level client contacts.
    • Global Delivery Model experience desirable.
    • Experience managing large multi-location consulting engagement teams desirable.
    • Track record as Account Manager that drives client growth highly desirable.
    • Hands-on experience with Federal Government proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
    • Wide variety of IT and business consulting engagement experience.
    • The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per client and project needs.
