What Impact You’ll Make;As our **Senior Account Sales Manager**, you will play a pivotal role in shaping customer relationships and driving business growth across GE Vernova’s Heavy Duty Power Services Gas portfolio in your assigned region. In this customer's facing role, leading strategic engagements, negotiating and closing deals, while ensuring alignment with our SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) principles.
Your impact will directly influence the team’s ability to meet and exceed service, quality, and timeliness objectives. By owning the full sales cycle—from opportunity identification to order conversion—you will be responsible for delivering on orders, commitments, and convertible orders, while partnering closely with Commercial Operations to execute winning strategies that support both customer success and business performance.

Job Description

What you'll do;

  • Lead sales efforts within a defined geographic territory, driving growth across products, services, parts, and solutions while maintaining a strong commercial focus and strategic influence representing GE Vernova.
  • Develop and execute long-term strategic account and communication plans, ensuring a unified “one face to the customer” approach across offerings and functions.
  • Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline, including complex, multi-offering transactions such as parts, repairs, outage services, upgrades, digital solutions, and service agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Engineering, Customer Fulfillment, and Marketing to enhance proposal strategies, outage planning, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and project data in internal systems (e.g., NEX), and support demand forecasting and pacing activities.
  • Provide leadership in proposal development, leveraging templates and tools to create compelling offers that align with customer needs and business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor actions, and customer strategies to identify new opportunities and inform sales tactics.
  • Apply sound judgment to solve complex problems, recommend best practices, and influence internal and external stakeholders with data-driven insights.
  • May lead or contribute to functional teams or projects, guiding others and communicating complex concepts effectively to drive alignment and results.

What you'll bring (basic Qualifications/Requirements)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 7 years of technical knowledge and experience within the Power Generation industry in either Commercial roles, Marketing, Sales, and/or Project Management of Power Generation Equipment.

Other Eligibility Requirement:

  • In this role you will travel up to 25% of the time
  • Offer Hybrid with Preferred location: Calgary AB /or Markham, ON
  • No Immigration services or Sponsorship is offered for this position.

  • Strong technical background with advanced knowledge of our Gas Power Fleet & auxiliary systems / upgrade offerings
  • Broad and deep understanding of the commercial cycle, including product line / marketing / sales / commercial operations / engineering
  • Ability to work across functions independently and be a self-starter driver developing relationships at the C-suite of internal / external customer
  • Superior business acumen / analytic ability to manage and influence in a matrix environment with commercial leadership skills
  • Long-term business mindset with Financial, analytical skills, and strategic planning capabilities

For Employees/Candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the base pay range for this position is between $135,000. - $185,000. CAD.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual sales incentive bonus.
