Your Opportunity

Our GTA Audit Practice is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team, with flexibility to work from any of our three offices: Toronto, Oakville, or Markham. You will own the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct audit and review engagements, preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with regulatory and firm standards. 

  • Coordinate year-end assurance engagements for clients across a range of industries, including supporting information for corporate tax filings (prepared by the tax team). 

  • Apply working knowledge of accounting frameworks such as ASPE, ASNPO, IFRS, and US GAAP, as appropriate to client needs. 

  • Build and maintain positive client relationships by responding promptly to requests and delivering high-quality service. 

  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients. 

  • Communicate regularly with engagement team members to provide progress updates and raise issues proactively.

Your experience and education 

  • You should have successfully completed your CPA designation. 

  • You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in external audit within the public accounting industry. 

  • You have working knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, IFRS and/or US GAAP standards (depending on client needs). 

  • You prioritize teamwork, client service, and delivering high-quality, detailed work. 

  • You exhibit strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
