Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of financial reports, including monthly consolidated financial statements and related analysis
  • Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas 
  • Planning and executing internal control audits, understanding current processes and developments to strengthen internal controls
  • Assistance in the preparation of annual corporate tax returns. 
  • Preparation of monthly sales tax remittances
  • Assistance in day-to-day operations within the accounting department
  • Other related duties assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Designated accountant, preferably a qualified CPA
  • Workable knowledge of IFRS
  • Experience in preparation of Canadian Corporate and Sales Tax returns
  • Demonstrates ability to manage projects with multiple priorities and timelines
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
