Overview – Senior AI Software Engineer (Full-Stack)
Cut+Dry, a rapidly growing food tech startup, seeks a highly skilled Senior AI Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join our dynamic team.
This is a remote position; however, due to the nature and timing of our work, candidates must be currently located in Canada or the United States. We are unable to hire applicants residing outside these countries.
You will be at the forefront of bringing AI to the food service industry, working across all layers of the stack to build AI-powered solutions end-to-end that transform how food distributors and restaurant operators interact with technology.
You will split your time evenly between front-end and back-end development:
- 50% Front-End Development: Implementing beautiful user interfaces in React to make complex features intuitive and seamless.
- 50% Back-End Development - Integrating AI models, managing data, and optimizing system performance to support AI-driven workflows.

Consisting of lifelong Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, the founding team has built and exited multiple startups and possesses deep domain expertise in the restaurant and food supply chain business, having sold previous startups to the world’s largest food distributors.

Your Role
As a Senior AI Software Engineer (Full-Stack) you will design, build, and refine AI-powered experiences. Your role will focus equally on developing front-end interfaces and implementing backend AI models and services.
Your Responsibilities:
- 50% UI Development - Build interactive, React interfaces to make complex features intuitive and seamless.
- 50% Backend and AI Integration - Develop backend services that support AI models, manage data processing, and optimize performance.
- Work with tools/vendors like OpenAI, Anthropic, Langchain and vector databases to enhance our platform.
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ (5+ preferred) years of experience in full-stack development, preferably in a cloud environment.
- Strong front-end expertise in React, making up 50% of your role.
- Proficiency in multiple software languages like Javascript, Nodejs, and PHP, and a willingness to work across services.
- Backend experience with Python and AI frameworks (OpenAI API, Langchain)
- Strong experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with database technologies (SQL/MySQL and NoSQL) and RESTful API development.
- Ability to execute both open-ended and pixel-perfect design requirements to spec.
- Familiarity with web and mobile development best practices.
