ABOUT THE ROLE 

 
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will own and shape the analytical data architecture and modelling that powers enterprise reporting, self-service analytics, and AI-driven insights. You will define modeling standards, semantic layers, and data foundations across the organisation and act as a technical leader for reporting, analytics and AI use cases. You will work closely with data platform, data governance, and analytics teams across a modern cloud data stack. This position is permanent and based in Toronto, Canada. 


WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • define and evolve enterprise analytical data models and architecture using AWS technology  
  • build and own semantic layers to align KPIs and business logic 
  • lead AI-driven analytics use cases such as text-to-SQL and conversational BI 
  • Set modeling standards, documentation, and best practices across teams 
  • Collaborate with data platform engineering , data governance and the business stakeholders on scalable pipelines 
  • Contribute to data modeling best practices  

YOU COME WITH 

  • 7+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering roles 
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with data modeling 
  • Strong experience with AWS, Glue, Athena, S3, and cloud analytics 
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster) 
  • strong Python and PySpark skills for large-scale data processing 
  • experience with AI-driven analytics and semantic modeling

The base salary range for this position is CAD $90k- $140k

This range reflects the expected compensation at the time of posting. The final offer may vary and can be higher based on relevant skills, experience, location, and market conditions. Based on the role the total rewards package may also include benefits, bonus, and other employee offerings.
