Job Description

As a senior experienced engineer, you will be responsible for building and managing data platforms and pipelines for Data Science with appropriate data governance and security.  You will work with data scientists and peer data engineers to actively solve business problems and delivering value using agile methodology. You will work with technical and business stakeholders to build and maintain an optimized and scalable data pipeline and democratize data. You will participate in the architecture review and approval process.  You will be also responsible for working closely with data scientists in the area of data ingestion and feature engineering, establishing coding best practices, maintaining and managing technical documentation and incident triaging and resolution.

What will you do?

As part of Data Science team, you will encompass an end to end view from data sourcing, lineage, quality, transformation and storage.

  • Execute Development and Integration activities (planning, execution, testing, deployment and post implementation support) of existing and new data and visualization Technologies (e.g. Omni-Channel reporting, Gamification/Visualization).

  • Prepare data to be used for diagnostic/descriptive reporting and data science work.

  • Build container based solutions, pipelines, APIs/Microservices and analytics portal for heterogeneous data sources on internal data lakes or cloud platforms

  • Collaborate with Data scientists, Process Engineers and Business Stakeholders to develop data pipelines, and assist with prescriptive and predictive analytics through consolidated data

  • Identify and resolve data movement/transformation/processing bottlenecks

  • Research emerging Data and Visualization technologies trends/best practices and propose solutions for Technology and Business partners.

  • Mentor junior team members

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data engineering solutions: Logstash, Python, SQL Server, Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Scala and API: Flask, Node.JS, Django, and Microservices technologies

  • 5+ years experience in Automation/DevOps: Jenkins, Airflow, UCD, Selenium and similar technologies

  • Experience in Cloud technologies: Openshift, PCF, Docker, Kubernetes, with knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure and Sagemaker

  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases

  • Experience in developing scalable, configurable applications using Python/Java and application frameworks

  • Knowledge of VMs and various MLOps platforms such as Dataiku, WandB

Nice to Have

  • Supervised and Unsupervised Machine learning, Natural Language Processing

  • Security frameworks: LDAP, Kerberos, OAuth 2.0, Vault integration,, Azure Entra ID, SAML

  • Experience working in agile environment

  • Experienced in building data pipelines end to end
