Position Overview:

The Publishing Analytics team has been charged with supporting performance and measurement insights across our portfolio. We utilize the vast amount of internal and third-party data available to provide reporting, tooling, and automation solutions that elevate the various functions in Zynga’s product organization.

As a senior analytics manager, you will provide team and technical leadership to a group of hardworking leaders, analysts, and data scientists. You will provide support to our publishing organization, the executive team, and game studios. Together with your team, you will propose innovative solutions, prioritize workflows, and coordinate product development and enhancements with our development teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with large amounts of data to find and lead opportunities to improve the investment efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Manage multiple teams of data analysts and scientists to ensure high-quality execution while grooming and growing talent.
  • Establish new measurement frameworks for that work for our broad portfolio of games..
  • Use our modern tech stack, Redshift, Databricks and PySpark, Airflow, and Tableau to develop innovative tools.
  • Technically engage with the analysts, data scientists, and game teams to provide data-driven insights and guidance with your strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Bolster customer trust and build technical knowledge through execution of ad hoc analyses of high business priority.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions to business challenges.
  • Ability to distill analysis and communicate recommendations effectively for a diverse set of stakeholders including senior executives.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to define areas of opportunity and set priorities.
  • Supervise the larger technical direction of projects.
  • Develop talent and steer career growth within the team.

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: predictive modeling, statistics, experimental design, optimization, data visualization.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively managing communication and expectations to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical users.
  • Domain knowledge in marketing, mobile gaming, player behavior, business modeling, and forecasting.
  • Strong experience in SQL and Python; Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau.
  • 7+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning or analytics roles.
  • 4+ years of work experience in people management.
  • BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative fields; Masters or PhD strongly preferred.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $155,000 and $230,000 per year. 

However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.   Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
