About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Application Architect to join a dynamic team responsible for the design, delivery, and execution of integrated IT solutions that enable the introduction of new technologies and services. This role requires strong leadership in software architecture, system integration, and agile methodologies, combined with a passion for innovation and service improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architectural design of complex enterprise applications and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, network, operations, and product SMEs, to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Support projects related to performance management, service quality delivery, reporting, and data analytics.
  • Analyze and investigate anomalies in business workflows across provisioning, dispatch, and network systems to drive service improvement initiatives.
  • Guide the technical roadmap and make strategic decisions on application frameworks, tools, and platforms.
  • Ensure secure software development practices and system health are maintained throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies and collaborate on PI Planning sessions (held every 3 months) to ensure proper planning and execution.
  • Mentor and support Scrum Masters, Support Engineers, and other architecture resources as part of a collaborative delivery team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in application architecture and enterprise-level software design.
  • Proven experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and full SDLC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of software security, systems integration, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern development practices.
  • Experience working with data science and reporting tools is considered a strong asset.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for performance optimization and service delivery enhancement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and consultative approach.

Working Conditions:

  • Type of job: Temporary Contractor – 1 year with the possibility to extend
  • Work hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Location: Ottawa, ON
