Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations

As a Sr. Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to create structure out of chaos, to architect, test, and operationalize solutions through building data workflows and processes that will deliver real-world impact from day one to hundreds of thousands of patients and Providers around the country. As part of scaling the solutions you design, you will also operate as a thought partner to product and data teams at Headway, in a bid to drive the future-first nature of the solutions you deliver. This is a unique opportunity to get hands on in a data-first environment, and to own outcomes core to the growth of our business.

What you’ll do at Headway

• Design and build foundations for a variety of initiatives within the Operations function, such as piloting new products, processes, and programs
• Drive the build, execution, monitoring & ongoing implementation of scalable products and processes that enable us to deliver on core business challenges
• Lead cross-functional efforts with our product, engineering, payer, and CX teams to drive core ops processes and achieve team OKRs.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the company to achieve shared goals

You’ll be great for this role if you:

• 3-5 years of experience in consulting / operations / investment banking or related experience; operations experience at a high-growth startup is a plus.
• You are a self-starter. Master disambiguator/simplifier and constantly pushing toward clarity and execution.
• You are highly data-driven. Can drive complex analyses and translate into key actionable insights, projects and OKRs.
• You are a collaborator. Proactively partners across teams while holding teams accountable for business results.
• You are a systems thinker. Inclined to solve problems with product and automation.

Benefits & Eligibility Ops:

The Benefits & Eligibility Operations team enables Headway’s benefits & eligibility platform, ensuring that patients that receive care fully understand their insurance benefits coverage and payment responsibility. This is a highly cross-functional role, involving frequent collaboration with engineering, data, and product teams. It is a perfect role for someone who likes to dig into data frequently, develop deep expertise, and help improve our policies and processes to serve our patients and providers at scale.

Claim Systems Ops: 

The Claim Systems Operations team oversees all of the backend processes that ensure claims get to payers as expected and manages the rulesets that help us interpret the data we get back from payers after a claim is adjudicated. This is a highly cross-functional role, involving frequent collaboration with engineering, data, and product teams. It is a perfect role for someone who likes to dig into data frequently and help scale the systems that power Headway’s RCM function.

The expected base pay range for this position is $84,320 - $124,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based variable compensation and an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
