About the Team
As the Senior Back End Developer, you will report to the Head of Engineering and collaborate closely with Pine’s engineering team to bring your work to life.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Develop high quality code in languages such as Kotlin and Python
- Work on a cross-functional engineering team
- Design and implement complex data models in Postgres
- Participate in technical design and planning discussions
- Uphold standards for quality by performing code reviews, fixing bugs, creating automated tests, and monitoring performance
- Help manage our CI/CD and infrastructure on AWS
- Develop and support high availability, high performance APIs within an Agile development team
- Collaborate with other developers on the team to model and design new products
We’re excited about you because…
- You know how to write high-quality, testable code and understand the tradeoffs between expediency and maintainability
- You are familiar with API design
- You have experience with relational databases
- You have experience with abstraction and applying it to learning new languages and frameworks
- You have experience with code merging and branching methodologies using Git and code release process
- You are a strong communicator, and you can explain complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers without a problem
- When things break, you’re eager and able to help fix things
