Our ISG Risk Valuation team delivers solutions that drive HOOPP’s official overnight pricing, security level sensitivities that help drive trading decisions, as well as solutions that underpin HOOPP’s risk and exposure limit monitoring. As a Senior Business Analyst, reporting to the Director, ISG Risk Valuations, you will work closely with technology and investment finance professionals to define and build the backbone of HOOPP’s investment valuation leveraging vendor and in-house built software acting as the bridge between financial modelling and technology solutions.

We cultivate a culture that emphasizes innovation, collaboration, practicality, and the courage to challenge the status quo. This role is well suited to someone who combines technical depth with curiosity, sound judgment, product thinking, systems thinking, and a willingness to test new ideas. You will look beyond immediate symptoms, identify underlying needs, and develop solutions that are secure, sustainable, and valuable in delivering the pension promise. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguity, ask thoughtful questions, and turn emerging technologies into practical solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

What you will do:

  • Hands-on analysis and delivery of complex Valuation solutions across a comprehensive set of asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives, FX, OTC products etc.).

  • Guide and support the Product Owner and Solution Architect in developing and realizing the product vision (develop roadmaps, manage scope, define minimal viable products, prioritize backlog, create stories to incorporate user and technical feedback etc.).

  • Develop and foster relationships with HOOPP business partners (Traders, Portfolio Managers, Risk, Finance, Security Operations, Data Management) and other Investment Technology teams to capture requirements, prototype solutions, provide demos, test and support the final deliverable.

  • Create sustainable AI-powered solutions with a focus on capital markets valuation usage.

  • Challenge existing solution delivery processes and propose innovative workflows with AI to better support the mandate of the team.

  • Become the expert on HOOPP’s official valuation, initial margin, risk, and exposure monitoring process and support the day-to-day operation of the systems.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience within capital markets (risk models, reporting, valuation models, statistical analysis, and finance theory) combined with 2+ years of experience in technology delivery.

  • Solid grounding in the software development life cycle, including Agile delivery practices, techniques, and tools.

  • Strong working knowledge of the AI tooling landscape, with hands-on experience embedding AI into technology delivery and/or capital markets workflows; experience building conversational or chatbot solutions in a capital markets context is an asset.

  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL and Python, and the ability to read and reason about code in other languages.

  • Proven ability to interact confidently and effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong working relationships in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, including negotiating and facilitating consensus among diverse stakeholders with conflicting interests to produce workable solutions.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex processes and relationships that span business units, with diplomacy and professionalism.

  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Computer Science; CFA or FRM designation a plus.
