About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect/Engineer to join our team responsible for the design, delivery, and execution of integrated IT solutions that support the rollout of innovative technologies and services. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative Agile environment, contributing to cutting-edge projects in performance management, service quality, and data science.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions to support enterprise applications and services.
  • Lead architectural discussions and decisions across cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Collaborate with IT, network, operations, and product SMEs to analyze and optimize systems performance.
  • Develop strategies for system monitoring, anomaly detection, and continuous service improvement.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
  • Guide secure software development practices and support efforts in system hardening and compliance.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and problem resolution for business flow and system anomalies.
  • Provide technical leadership to Application Architects, Business Analysts, and Support Engineers.
  • Participate in quarterly PI (Program Increment) planning sessions, emphasizing face-to-face collaboration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, software engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and performance analytics.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and lead cross-functional investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Type of job: Temporary Contractor – 1 year with the possibility to extend
  • Work hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Location: Ottawa, ON
