Position Summary

Ottawa, Hybrid

This is a 15-month fixed term position.

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Senior Data Coordinator to join our team. They will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the management, integrity and flow of critical data across the organization.

This position will be responsible for coordinating data collection, entry and validation processes, ensuring quality and compliance to organizational standards. The Senior Data Coordinator will also lead efforts to streamline data operations, mentor other data coordinators, and contribute to process improvements and documentation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and effective communication

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Oversee the collection, entry, storage and retrieval of data across various sources.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across multiple systems.

  • Maintain and update databases, records and data repositories

  • Implement and monitor data quality controls and validation procedures.

  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, errors and inconsistencies

  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards

  • Support the development and rollout of new data systems, processes or reporting tools.

  • Prepare, review and distribute regular and ad hoc data reports and dashboards.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance data management processes

  • Recommend and implement best practices for data coordination and documentation

  • Support the adoption of new technologies or methodologies to improve overall data operations.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior data coordinators and data staff

  • Deliver training or support to staff on data standards, procedures and tools.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows and policies.

  • Ensure all data activities comply with internal procedures and relevant regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-10 years’ experience in data coordination, data management, or a similar role

  • Diploma in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

  • Possess strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work accurately and with excellent attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC) 61,881.49 - 102,137.70 CAD Annual
