Sr. Data Governance Consultant
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Data and Information Governance Consultant to join our Consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients establish, mature, and operationalize governance frameworks to maximize data value and ensure regulatory compliance. You will lead the development of enterprise-wide strategies and ensure information-related risks are mitigated through both policy and technology enablement. This position requires a blend of business acumen, regulatory knowledge and technical understanding to help clients establish, mature and operationalize governance frameworks across their data and information assets. What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Develop and implement enterprise-wide data and information governance strategies and operating models that align with client business objectives.
Collaborate with C-suite executives and stakeholders to lead consulting engagements, managing everything from initial strategy to final delivery.
Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) by establishing frameworks for data retention, archival, and disposition.
Establish frameworks for data retention, archival and disposition (Information Lifecycle Management)
Define organizational structures, including the roles and responsibilities of Data Owners, Data Stewards and governance bodies
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
7+ years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in management consulting and implementing governance programs.
Strong knowledge of data governance structures, records management, and global privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
Proven ability in leading client engagements, facilitating high-stakes meetings, and articulating complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related quantitative field.
Technical Experience: Data ingestion frameworks/scripting, regex, NLP, LLM expertise

Reasonably expected salary range: $107,500.00 - $143,300.00Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
