Senior Data Modeler
Job Introduction:
At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a Senior Data Modeler to define and develop logical and physical data models that satisfy PAREXEL's financial and operational reporting, analytic and integration needs.
Who we are looking for:
Curious individuals with previous experience working with data to contribute to the overall data models and define principles, designs, and models that drive information sharing across the enterprise. That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with business subject matter experts and IT groups to document data attributes and requirements.
- Comprehend and translate business needs into data models which support long term solutions.
- Create logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects.
- Document logical and physical mapping definitions, data lineage and ETL requirements.
- Identify opportunities for standardizing data dictionaries, integration and archiving, and elimination of unnecessary redundancy.
- Help define robust design methodology, development process methodology and best practices.
Additional details:
5+ years of experience with data warehouse development, with at least 1 year creating logical and physical dimensional, relational, and hierarchical data models. Experience modeling financial data and/or clinical data strongly preferred. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
Technology:
ER/Studio, Oracle, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and Qlik Compose or other Data Warehouse Automation tools, Microsoft Azure PaaS (or similar cloud platforms), IaaS and related data and integration services, Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, PowerBI, and PowerApp.
