Transform financial crime analytics with data-driven precision.
The RoleWe’re seeking a Senior Data Modelling & Detection Analytics Consultant to join our Banking & Payments practice in Toronto. You’ll play a key role in shaping the data analytics strategy that underpins financial crime detection and prevention for leading financial institutions. Your expertise will help ensure data integrity, robust detection logic, and effective oversight of data-driven risk models.
What You’ll DoInvestigate and document data flows, lineage, and schema mapping accuracy
Conduct Data Quality Assessments (DQA) to identify and resolve data inconsistencies
Evaluate and calibrate rules, thresholds, and parameters for detection analytics
Develop and validate models aligned to defined risk criteria
Create detailed documentation of data processes, detection logic, and risk level frameworks
Proven experience in data modelling, analytics, and data management within financial services
Strong understanding of financial crime detection methodologies and regulatory frameworks
Hands-on experience with system integration and managing detection data pipelines
Ability to oversee bot configuration, benchmark model performance, and drive data improvement initiatives
Exceptional analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Exposure to sanctions compliance or related screening systems
Experience implementing or enhancing detection writing or alert-generation logic
Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
Understanding of AI-driven detection and anomaly identification techniques
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and lineage tools
Deliver high-impact data and analytics solutions for top-tier financial institutions
