We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in the position of Senior Data Scientist, Wealth Campaign Analytics. The role will sit on the Wealth Data Science team while supporting the Wealth Campaign Analytics Team in an end-to-end role developing predictive models for this team and assisting with sizing, execution, channel loading, performance tracking for multiple wealth campaigns. This individual will drive insights to existing campaigns and will be responsible for developing and supporting the creation of new dashboards for existing and new campaigns. The successful candidate will be able to go beyond analytics/reporting to provide actionable insights and implement advanced analytical algorithms and technologies (e.g. machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence) to mine and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to obtain insights.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Designs and constructs new processes for modeling data. Develops predictive models and leverages big data technology to design solutions that deliver smarter business decisions, improve customer experience, and drive productivity. Collaborates with other data and analytics professionals and teams to optimize, refine and scale analysis into mature analytics solutions.
  • Plays an active role in the futuristic display of data, and advancement of innovative data strategies to understand consumer trends and address business problems.
  • Uses data mining and extracting usable data from valuable data sources to assess feasibility of AI/ML solutions for improved processing and usage of organization data.
  • Conducts large-scale analysis of information to discover patterns and trends by combining different modules and algorithms.
  • Develops prediction systems and machine learning algorithms. Investigates additional technologies and tools for developing innovative data solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Manage and enhance daily/weekly/monthly campaign reporting to provide results and context to deliver actionable insights to senior management, not just reporting data
  • Improve and automate process using a variety of tools to drive operational efficiency
  • Produce dashboards, reports, analysis, insights that drive decisions and help us build better campaigns and experiences.
  • Take the lead on campaign performance measurement and increasing productivity of all marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-8+ years of data science/quantitative modeling experience
  • Proficiency in SQL and Power BI, and a computing language such as Python
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, optimization, product analytics, causal inference, and/or experimentation
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams to deliver results
  • Ability to communicate results clearly and a focus on driving impact
  • A demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with a high attention to detail
  • Solid business acumen and experience in synthesizing complex analyses into actionable recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying models in production and adjusting model thresholds to improve performance
  • Experience designing, running, and analyzing complex experiments or leveraging causal inference designs
  • Experience with distributed tools such as Spark, Hadoop, etc.
  • A PhD or MS in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Sciences, Operations Research)

Salary:

$81,600.00 - $151,200.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
