What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a Senior Email Operations Analyst to lead the execution, optimization, and operational scale of lifecycle email programs across HubSpot, Iterable, and future ESPs. This role is responsible for owning email systems, automations, and data integrity across the customer lifecycle. You will focus on building reliable, sophisticated workflows powered by clean data, strong governance, and close partnership with Business Systems and Data teams. The role blends hands-on ESP execution with operational rigor, analytical thinking, and continuous optimization of deliverability and platform performance. The ideal candidate brings deep technical fluency within enterprise email platforms, thrives in complex systems, and takes pride in operational excellence.

What you’ll be working on

  • Lifecycle Email Execution & Automation: Execute and maintain complex, multi-step email automations across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, expansion, and churn. This includes configuring event-based triggers, dynamic segmentation, suppression logic, and workflow orchestration within enterprise ESPs such as Iterable and HubSpot to support lifecycle programs at scale.
  • Email Platform & Systems Ownership: Own day-to-day email platform operations, including workflow configuration, deployment, QA, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization. Ensure lifecycle programs run reliably, efficiently, and consistently across environments, with a strong focus on operational quality and system stability.
  • Data, Integrations & Governance: Partner closely with Business Systems and Data teams to define and operationalize data requirements for email execution. Validate and QA data flowing into ESPs from sources such as Snowflake, customer data platforms, and internal systems, while maintaining governance over, segmentation logic, preference management, suppression rules, and consent handling.
  • Deliverability & Compliance: Monitor and optimize email deliverability, sender reputation, and inbox placement, while ensuring ongoing compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and internal consent frameworks. Proactively identify risks to platform health and partner cross-functionally to resolve issues before they impact lifecycle programs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with lifecycle, systems, analytics, and technical stakeholders to execute lifecycle programs accurately and efficiently. Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while aligning on dependencies, timelines, and system constraints.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • Experience & Platform Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience managing email operations within an enterprise ESP environment, with strong proficiency in Iterable or similar platforms (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • Technical & Data Fluency: Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to review, validate, and troubleshoot data in tools such as Snowflake or similar data warehouses. Familiarity with customer data platforms, data integrations, and event-driven architectures.
  • Operational & Execution Strength: Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to QA, documentation, and process management. Proven ability to manage complex segmentation logic, suppression frameworks, and consent requirements without introducing errors.
  • Collaboration & Ownership: Clear communication skills with the ability to own execution end-to-end, partner effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
