Compensation Package : $81,600.00 - $108,900.00 CAD annu ally + bonus eligibility

What you'll be doing.
Commercial performance review and forecasting
- Deliver accurate, insightful, and timely analysis of financial results. Perform investigation of commercial variances, highlighting financial issues with strategic and operational impacts, and recommend options to resolve or address gaps.
- Assist in the monthly reporting process for Pricing and Trade Strategy producing value added reporting and analysis on contract negotiation status, variance to budget, and contract postmortems.
- Develop and maintain price forecasting model to support planning and analyze monthly/quarterly vs. appropriate benchmarks, make value-added recommendations, and prepare ad hoc analyses as requested to facilitate the formation of business plans.
- Support the finance digital transformation, developing and enhancing reports in Power BI.
- Leads, embraces, and has a passion for process improvement, capacity creation, standardization and implements in collaboration with the Finance Manager, Commercial Finance
Innovation stage-gate business case development
- Provide financial analysis on cross-functional project teams, inclusive of product launches, helping to build the financial business case P&L's, challenging assumptions, providing insights and strategic direction for commercial activities
- Serve as a key financial resource in new product development teams in defining customer pricing requirements. Model pricing strategy and margin expectations on new product launches.
Budgeting and planning
- Integral member of the S&OP process by providing Sales and Marketing support from demand forecasting to financial modeling.
- Support the Sales and Marketing Teams in their forecast for the balance of the year as well as looking to continuously improve on departmental forecast submissions
- Partner with Marketing to lead the financial modeling of potential promotional activities, analyze the impact of new business proposals, and manage overall margins as it relates to product pricing and promotions.
Marketing Support
- Support financial analysis for business decisions impacting marketing expenditures, including preparing reports with supporting documentation for monthly review of marketing expenditures
- Produce postmortem financial analysis on investment profitability and effectiveness vs. ROI/Business case
What you'll need to be successful.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus
- 3+ years of progressive and related experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Natural collaboration skills
- Influencing and leadership skills
- Results driven and action oriented (initiative)
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good business acumen
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP, Advanced Excel skills, and Power BI
