What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Control, the Senior Financial Analyst’s main role is to analyze financial data, specifically focusing on Profit and loss reporting. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing, reconciling, valuation and reporting daily and monthly profit and loss data, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall success of our finance team by taking part in automation and process improvement projects.

How you’ll succeed
- P&L Analysis - Analyze, interpret, and communicate daily trade information using underlying profit and loss reports from the general ledger (GL) and other trading systems for our Capital Markets lines of businesses.
- IPV Reporting - Independently verify and validate the pricing of financial instruments to mitigate risk, comply with regulatory requirements, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Reconciliation - Reconcile source system trade data against trader estimates/general ledger and communicate discrepancies and provide commentary on main P&L drivers. Assist with daily investigations and resolve P&L variances.
- Data Management - Collect, organize, and maintain data related to Profit/Loss and balance sheet/trial balance data from the GL.
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with trading desks, accounting and CFO teams to gather and analyze Daily Financial Estimates against the General Ledger. Assist in investigating variances and explaining month-end adjustments.
- Process Improvement - Continuously evaluate and enhance financial reporting processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Audit Support - Assist internal and external auditors in the examination and verification of financial data as needed.

- You can demonstrate relevant experience (3+ years) and understanding of concepts and processes for the financial reporting of complex and/or sensitive instruments, derivative products, fixed income, cross currencies, forwards, options, and other vanilla and non-standard derivative transactions. It’s an asset if you have experience in Alteryx, Microsoft Tableau, Power BI.
- You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing in a CFA or CPA designation.
