As part of our continuing growth in this high technology market, Teledyne Digital Imaging Inc. is recruiting for an Assistant Controller in Waterloo !
Position Summary:
The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in our finance team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day financial accounting operations, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and supporting the Controller in various finance-related tasks.
What you will do :
Manage and oversee daily BU financial support.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other regulations.
Review and support of internal controls and financial procedures.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Lead and coordinate annual budget planning and monthly forecasting activities.
Coordinate and support external auditors and ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
What You Need :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
