Senior Financial Analyst

As a Senior Financial Analyst and a trusted Finance partner to senior leaders, you will play a critical role driving informed decision-making and ensuring alignment to financial strategy. This position requires strong analytical skills, inventory movement business acumen, and the ability to influence outcomes across diverse functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: As a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, act as a reliable finance partner to senior leaders and provide cross-functional support to other team members.
  • Inventory and Product costing: Lead the preparation of detailed cost reports, budgeting and forecasting, in-depth analysis of variances between actual and standard costs, support accurate inventory and warranty valuation. Collaborate closely with business operations to resolve costing issues and ensure the integrity of inventory-related financial information.
  • Month-End Close: Support accounting activities, including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory, warranty reserve cost, and monthly accruals
  • Capital Planning: Own the end-to-end capital investment and spend forecasting process for assigned functions.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build and maintain dynamic models, forecasts, and budgets that inform strategic decisions and optimize performance.
  • Insight Generation: Analyze variances, identify trends, and deliver clear variance reasons to support budget alignment and to improve profitability.
  • Compliance & Governance: Review and approve spend requisitions, reconcile accounts, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and corporate policies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Sales, HR, and other teams to align financial objectives and enable seamless operations.
  • Leadership Reporting: Contribute to preparation of high-quality presentation materials for executive, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting preferably within a complex or global organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and tools, familiarity with NetSuite or Workday Adaptive Planning is a bonus.
  • Adapt and pivot with ease as priorities change.
  • Enjoy working both independently and collaboratively in a busy environment.

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

$73,600.00 - $103,500.00

 

Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position. The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.

 

Bonus:

The BlackBerry Variable Incentive Pay (VIP) program is an organization-wide bonus incentive program which aims to reward full-time eligible employees for their contribution to BlackBerry’s success. VIP payments are made in addition to base salary and factor in company’s performance as a way for employees to share in BlackBerry’s achievements.
