Summary of Job Role:
You will take the lead on front-end development for a new web platform, working from defined designs and mock-ups to deliver a polished, production-ready product. You will collaborate closely with our in-house back-end developers who will handle all API and data layer work - your focus is entirely on the front-end experience.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will make front-end architecture decisions, set standards for the codebase, and be accountable for delivery against a fixed launch timeline.
This is a remote opportunity, and we are open to candidates based in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Croatia or Lithuania.
Candidates must be based within a European time zone, have the right to work from their current location and have a strong level of spoken and written English.
Depending on the successful candidate’s location, the engagement may be structured as a contractor arrangement with our UK business or, for candidates based in Greece, a fixed-term employment contract through our Greek entity.
The project is expected to last between 12 and 24 months, with a preferred start date in early September 2026.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead the front-end build across a multi-module web platform, working from existing designs and a defined component library
- Consume RESTful APIs and implement OAuth authentication flows provided by the back-end team
- Build interactive, data-rich UI components - dashboards, tables, charts, filtering interfaces and subscription flows
- Maintain clean, well-documented, version-controlled code using Git
- Work collaboratively with in-house developers and contribute to code review
Skills:
Essential:
- Strong, modern JavaScript - minimum 2 years of relevant experience; medium to expert level
- React - production experience building complex, data-driven web applications
- RESTful API integration and OAuth - comfortable consuming APIs and implementing authentication flows
- Git - confident with day-to-day version control: branching, pull requests, resolving conflicts
- An eye for UI detail - ability to implement a defined design system faithfully and consistently across a complex product
- Self-sufficient and decisive - you will be the front-end lead and are expected to make good technical judgements independently
Desirable:
- Experience with data visualisation libraries (charts, sparklines, real-time data display)
- Familiarity with Stripe or similar payment/subscription integrations
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools including Claude Code
- AWS or cloud deployment experience
