The Senior Graphic Designer will lead design efforts, produce creative marketing materials, mentor junior staff, and communicate concepts effectively.
As a Senior Graphic Designer you will be responsible for crafting artistic, inventive, and compelling design and conceptual solutions for a variety of mediums. Your primary function will be in this category but also across the team of other product categories as needed. You’ll be responsible for leading the creation and production of creative communication solutions start to finish. Our Team strives for consistent on time delivery of campaigns and assets that elevate and push the brand forward. This position reports to the Art Director.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design function of marketing materials by providing creative/art direction and applicable design talent, with an emphasis on high volume campaign work
- Set the bar for creative excellence and maintain consistency with oversight and execution of projects
- Produce campaign and project guidelines for production or handoff to other designers and see through the final art direction in the production of deliverable assets
- Think strategically to further creative concepts and communication strategies across reach of the brand
- Communicate effectively with all staff and partners engendering trust and respect
- Act as a senior member of the team aiding in the growth and mentoring of our junior teammates
Qualifications
- Prior experience building integrated marketing campaigns for multiple strategies and product groups
- Exceptional aesthetic across art direction, narrative and in store experiences
- Experience in advertising, marketing, corporate identity, brand management, sales promotion, and new media communication
- Ability to work across numerous projects with competing deadlines and effectively prioritize deliverables
- Knowledge and sensitivity to creative trends influencing design in general, and in fashion/athletics/performance arenas
- Thorough understanding of creative process, color theory and typography as well as interactive, digital design and video storytelling
- Proven ability to effectively work with senior management to brainstorm, design and strategize the fulfillment of marketing executions
- You have at least 7+ years of relevant (preferably brand, agency or design firm) experience
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Expert level retouching capabilities with a proven portfolio displaying these talents.
- A digital portfolio or samples of work listed on resume demonstrating mastery in art direction, visual design, or similar
- Experience in motorsports industry in a brand or agency environment preferred
