In this client-facing role, you will partner with organizations to understand their business and technical needs, then design and implement IT solutions spanning on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms. You will own engagements from requirements gathering through delivery, acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle.What You'll Do
  • Lead discovery sessions and workshops with client stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements
  • Design solution architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, balancing performance, security, scalability, and cost
  • Implement and deploy solutions, including infrastructure builds, migrations, integrations, and platform configurations
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, presenting recommendations and translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Develop solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Advise clients on best practices, modernization opportunities, and technology roadmaps
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to deliver projects on time and within scope
  • Support pre-sales activities such as scoping engagements, drafting statements of work, and estimating effort
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues during and after implementation
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and practice development
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in IT consulting, systems engineering, or infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years in a client-facing capacity
  • Proven experience designing and implementing solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Strong knowledge of core infrastructure technologies: virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Windows/Linux server administration, networking, storage, and identity management (Active Directory, Entra ID)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud migrations, hybrid architectures, and infrastructure modernization projects
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, run stakeholder workshops, and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executives and technical teams alike
  • Strong documentation skills, including architecture diagrams and implementation plans
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities simultaneously
Additional Assets
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware VCP, or equivalent
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and collaboration platform deployments
  • Background in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Pre-sales or solution scoping experience in a consulting or managed services environment
