What You Bring- Design, develop and test reliable and reusable code
- Provide client support to troubleshoot bugs and performance issues within applications and devise solutions to these problems that span multiple systems
- Analysis of requirements, user interface sketches, estimating and solution proposals
- Providing database support and data fix analysis and remediation
- Writing, updating and maintaining documentation
- Participate in estimation of work effort needed to create release plans and roadmaps
- Develop and test software in a variety of programming languages and environments
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
- Participate in the implementation and deployment of solutions
- Participate in the debugging and resolution of production issues
- Provide technical oversight and guidance as needed in the development of new and existing projects
- Actively coach, mentor, and support the development of software developers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Promote and uphold coding standards, best practices, and development procedures, and contribute to their ongoing enhancement.
- Diploma or university degree in computer science, or business administration or equivalent work experience is required
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Java Developer is required
- Experience with J2EE systems, JSP/Servlet, Web Service (REST, SOAP), JavaScript, Java RMI, EJB, HTML and XML.
- Hands-on on experience with Hibernate, Spring Framework 5 and above for web application development.
- Experience with relational databases (including Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, Progress)
- Experience with Angular is required
- Experience with Google Tool Kit is an asset
- Proficient in interpreting security scan reports and implementing fixes to ensure secure code
- Ability to write clean, readable, reusable and easily maintainable code is required
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills
- Working experience with containerized environment and RedHat Azure Cloud is an asset
- Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps and Azure Container Registry would be considered an asset
- Experience working in agile methodology is an asset
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
