We are seeking a Senior Manager of Business Development to join our team to focus on securing and managing strategic partnerships with NGOs, sports associations, teams, industry associations, schools, government ministries and other non-retail organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to build and nurture relationships with organizations that have a strong need for Knix products and will help Knix expand its reach through new revenue and distribution channels. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of proactive sales generation , with the ability to navigate negotiations, tailor solutions to fit the partner’s needs, and drive long-term relationships with key decision-makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Growth Strategy: Identify and pursue business development opportunities within NGO organizations, sports associations and teams, industry associations, schools, government ministries and other non-retail sectors that have a strong need for knix products on a large scale. 
  • Build and Cultivate Relationships: Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders within target organizations, including purchasing managers, decision-makers, and senior executives. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure ongoing communication to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Lead Negotiations and Close Deals: Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and outreach to proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure. Work closely with internal teams to create tailored proposals that meet the needs of each organization.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct research to understand the unique needs of each target sector and stay ahead of industry trends. Monitor competitor activity and adapt strategies to stay competitive in the market.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and logistics to ensure successful execution of bulk orders, customizations, and distribution strategies. Work closely with the customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and continued satisfaction of institutional clients.
  • Reporting & Strategy Refinement: Track key metrics and provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding sales performance, pipeline growth, and industry trends. Use insights to refine and optimize the business development strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on NGO, collegiate, or institutional sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with senior-level executives and decision-makers in non-retail organizations.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience closing large-scale, multi-faceted deals.
  • Knowledge of the non-profit landscape, collegiate sports, and associations is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to pitch and communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • High level of organization, self-motivation, and ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
