The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Investment Finance and will be responsible for the accounting and reporting functions, as well as providing transaction support and analytics for the Infrastructure portfolio. The Senior Manager will ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records for all investments and establish a close working relationship with other members within the Finance, Tax, Legal and Deal teams.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Analytics
Reviews/enhances reporting on total portfolio to the Board and Senior Management
Leads assigned parts of the month-end close process
Supports the deal team and other internal teams on various financial reporting and analytics for the assigned investment portfolio
Analyzes and provides performance return information (e.g. IRR, total return, etc) for the full portfolio, and prepares various management reports;
Liaises with deal team, legal, tax and OMERS corporate by providing support in transaction execution and other regular deliverables, in a timely manner and as applicable;
Ensures proper accounting treatments in accordance with all applicable agreements and accounting principles;
Reviews entries to the General Ledger with appropriate analysis and supporting documentation;
Reviews monthly and year-end working papers with appropriate analysis and supporting documentation for annual financial reporting and audit purposes, and liaises with internal and external auditors;
Reviews quarterly and/or annual legal entity financial statements including notes and audit working papers in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards, as well as corresponding tax packages; and
Participate in accounting research projects and act as subject matter expert, as required.
Cash Management
Reviews cash/distribution projections, including impact of future cash income, debt service payments, other G&A expenses and provides recommendations to deal team on funding/distributions;
Reviews the weekly liquidity forecasts for the overall infrastructure portfolio;
Reviews project funding requests in accordance with approved commitments, as required;
Manages overall cash positions for the assigned portfolio, including the receipt of distributions from investment companies, drawdowns and repayments of loan and payment of expenses, interest rate resets & payments etc for the assigned portfolio;
Reviews and ensures all legal resolutions are prepared accurately for the assigned portfolios on a timely basis; and
Reviews wire instructions, as required
Compliance
Ensures compliance and regulatory reporting are completed accurately and on a timely basis;
Responsible for reviewing information for statutory and other reporting, as required; and
Liaises with the Legal team to ensure legal records are complete and accurate
Leadership
Mentor and develop team members through the provision of regular constructive feedback in the form of status meetings, performance appraisals, coaching and counseling, discipline and the assignment of developmental opportunities; and
Drive continuous improvement across the team
Other duties
Acts as back-up to cover duties of other team member(s) in relation to the assigned portfolio;
Ability to jump in and work alongside team members to complete tasks in short order; and
Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting for the financial sector;
Prior work experience in investment finance / asset management is preferred;
Chartered Professional Accountant designation is required;
Strong operational and people management skills, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience;
Experience in complex organizational and reporting structure with consolidation and multi-currency reporting;
Work experience and strong technical accounting knowledge in Pension Accounting Principles, IFRS, and US GAAP, including proposed new standards;
Strong analytical skills and results oriented;
Ability to deliver results independently, while working together with the other teams within Investment Finance and OMERS;
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel and Power BI;
Superior verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills;
Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness is very important along with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently; and
Ability to meet tight deadlines and to manage conflicting priorities

The expected salary range for this position is $140,000 - $ 175,000 per year.
