Senior Manager, Market Access - Takeda Canada
Role Objective
As part of Takeda Canada's Patient Value and Access Team, the Senior Manager, Market Access will lead the development and execution of market access strategies for current and future products. This includes creating HTA submissions, generating payer-relevant evidence, gathering market insights, and implementing value demonstration initiatives. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to clearly communicate product value to improve patient access across the Canadian healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute market access strategies tailored to the Canadian environment to secure or enhance product reimbursement.
Monitor reimbursement trends and payer policies; provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Government & External Affairs, Patient Engagement, and Policy teams to build relationships with key stakeholders and identify value-based partnership opportunities.
Guide real-world evidence (RWE) generation and publication strategies to influence policy and access.
Lead cross-functional initiatives (e.g., post-launch access programs, disease awareness) with Marketing, Medical, and Commercial teams.
Co-lead price negotiation and contracting strategies for public and private payers, including Product Listing Agreement (PLA) discussions.
Conduct pre-launch value assessments integrating clinical data, pricing, and health economics to inform launch decisions.
Participate in early HTA/payer engagement (e.g., CDA Early Scientific Advice) to shape clinical development and access strategy.
Ensure compliance with Takeda's Code of Ethical Practices, IMC Code of Ethics, and internal SOPs.

Utilize CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and AI-powered literature review tools (e.g., DistillerSR, Evid Science) to streamline workflows and improve strategic planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in sciences, economics, political science, or public administration; post-graduate training in health economics, epidemiology, or biostatistics is an asset.
6-7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, including HTA and healthcare analytics.
Strong understanding of therapeutic areas and disease management.
Experience with digital health technologies, AI applications in healthcare, and data-driven decision-making is strongly preferred.
Fluent in English; fluency in French, an asset.
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel for meetings, including overnight and occasional international travel.
