Position Summary:

As part of the consumer marketing team, the Sr. Market Research Analyst will be responsible for working as a strategic partner to the product management, UX design and marketing leadership teams, driving research projects designed to help inform the direction of product innovation or go to market strategies in key markets around the world. 

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Defining and executing a research roadmap that supports key business objectives and includes both user experience as well as market research studies that will be conducted in multiple markets around the world. 

  • Analyzing and presenting research study insights to a global set of key stakeholders.  Additionally, this individual will be expected to synthesize research results from multiple proprietary studies along with any 3rd party data to provide deeper, actionable insights to key stakeholders. 

  • Staying on top of the latest innovations and trends in market research, tech tools, and best practices to continually innovate and implement cutting-edge research strategies where and when applicable. 

  • Selecting and supervising market research agencies and ensuring they are executing against stated objectives, timelines, and within budget. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience applied research and managing research projects from concept to analysis. 

  • B.S. in Psychology with focus on cognitive or social psychology, Behavioral Economics, Human-computer Interaction, Sociology , Marketing or related fields. 

  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis.  Skilled in utilizing research and data tools such as Userlytics, Alchemer, Python, R, Excel, Tableau or similar platforms. 

  • Proven ability to work within an Agile framework and demonstrated experience in working flexibly as project scopes or timelines change.  

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills given the frequent requirements to present research findings to a broad group of stakeholders.  

  • Experience working in a multi-national setting and collaborating with colleagues and marketing agencies in multiple time zones 

  • Impeccable attention to detail as well as strong project management skills 

  • Previous experience managing marketing agencies 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a network of global and cross-functional teams 

  • Occasional international and domestic travel required 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Professional working proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese 

  • Previous experience working as a research vendor or within a research agency 

  • Experience working in the SaaS, Consumer technology, financial technology or cybersecurity industries 

  • Masters or PhD in relevant field

For applicants in the province of Ontario: Trend Micro Canada is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is CAD $90,000.00 - $136,000.00. A candidate’s final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors to include, but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
