Job Summary
The Sr. O365 Administrator for Messaging and Collaboration is responsible for the management and support of the organization's messaging systems, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. This senior role is critical in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the company. The administrator will manage, configure, and troubleshoot the O365 messaging environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance The O365 Administrator for Messaging and Collaboration will play a critical role in managing the O365 environment, ensuring that the organization's messaging systems are secure, reliable, and efficient, while also performing general O365 administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft O/M365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of messaging and collaboration systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues with end users, providing timely resolution and support.
Interact with end users to troubleshoot reported problems or to perform required system maintenance activities. - Escalate problems to Engineering Leads, management and/or vendors in a timely fashion.
- Perform general O365 administration tasks, including system backups, recovery, and monitoring system performance and capacity.
- Administer Exchange 2013 & 2019 on-premise for remote mailboxes and email relay.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory and Azure AD, including account maintenance and federation services.
- Resolve tickets related to O365, messaging, and collaboration tools in ServiceNow.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and manage the O365 environment.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements related to messaging, collaboration, and general O365 administration.
- Day-to-day documentation of operations needs and process changes
- Mentorship of team for skill and personal growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience with Microsoft O/ M365
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and general O365 administration
- Experience with on-premise Exchange and Active Directory
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management of the O365 environment
- Familiarity with email hygiene solutions and security compliance features
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
