Senior Product Engineer - Onsite Position

We’re seeking a passionate, Product Engineer who thrives on solving complex system-level challenges and is driven to push the boundaries of mission-critical embedded technology at our world class facility in Ottawa, ON!

Location: Ottawa, ON-Onsite Position

Salary Range: $90,300 - $120,400 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:

You will drive the full systems engineering product lifecycle for development of rugged deployed systems for harsh environments. This includes:

  • Delivering innovative, reliable systems that perform under extreme conditions — all while thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Leading integration and test activities

  • Ensuring compliance with rigorous environmental and safety standards

  • Debug and test new embedded and system products at the forefront of technology

  • Support and enhance existing products

  • Champion test automation for products

  • Apply established development processes and assist in process improvements

  • Generate complete and accurate user and design documentation

  • Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages for products

What you Bring:

  • Proven Product Engineering Experience

- Experience with rugged deployed systems for harsh environments (requirements, design, integration, verification, certification)

- Development of electronic assemblies optimized for rugged environments and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

- Requirements management, traceability, and validation; ability to write clear, formal documentation

  • Hands-On & Problem-Solving Skills

- Outstanding debug and troubleshooting of rugged computing systems (hardware, firmware, OS level)

- Proficient across Windows and Linux environments

- Scripting/automation experience (Python or similar)

- Cross-disciplinary awareness of electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing impacts

  • Professional Attributes

- Results-driven self-starter who manages multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

- Exceptional problem-solving, creativity, and engineering judgment

- Strong verbal and written communication; comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences

- Team player who leads by example, takes ownership, holds self accountable, and drives continuous improvement

- Passion for customer success and team development

  • Education/Experience

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science, Technologist Diploma or equivalent will be considered

- 8 years systems engineering experience in rugged deployed systems for harsh environments
