Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to join our Technology Group, focusing on our Developer Experience. Developers, both internal to IFS as well as within our eco system such as partner and customer application developers utilize IFS developed tooling for various topics such as customizations, core code development, machine learning models, or data products. In this role, you will be responsible for driving investments in our Developer Experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Developer Experience, utilizing tooling, including innovative AI-driven solutions like pair programming, as a means to deliver an exceptional developer experience.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, experience, and other cross-functional teams to develop and launch new features and products.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Advocate for the developer-user experience, ensuring products are intuitive, reliable, and meet user needs.
  • Identify roadblocks and demonstrate the ability to provide practical recommendations for overcoming them.
  • Define clear product requirements, high-level user stories/use cases, and success metrics to guide development efforts.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development frameworks and ensure products meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritize feature development, and ensure timely delivery in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the broader product strategy within the Technology Group.
  • Evaluate the applicability of emerging technologies, such as AI-driven developer tools, and assess their potential impact/value on the platform and development frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of product management or program management experience in similar tech.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Experience in building and managing application frameworks, developer platforms, or similar technical products, focusing on the tooling support
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the technology, enterprise software, or related industries.
  • Experience in engaging directly with customers or end-users for gathering and evaluating product feedback.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs and translate them into successful products.
  • Familiarity with developer ecosystems and understanding the needs of software developers.
  • You can work remotely from home, or from one of our nearby offices. The job is intended to be fulfilled from Sri Lanka, but we also accept applications from Spain.
