What you'll be doing
As a member of the Auto Finance Operations & Policy team, the Senior Product Manager, Operations & Projects accountable for the continuous operational effectiveness and improvement of the Auto Finance business to mitigate operational risk, optimize efficiency, and significantly improve the customer experience. You will execute on strategic initiatives that will drive growth and meet business targets. You will develop and maintain internal relationships across the organization and with external partners to address day-to-day Product inquiries and investigations and execute on initiatives.

How you'll succeed
Strategic planning & execution - Support strategy by developing and executing against strategic priorities to drive product operations enhancements & development. Lead key initiatives end-to-end from (i) idea generation / conceptualizing (ii) solution / capability design (iii) assess financial impacts / business case (iv) lead development & build with partners (v) implement
Analytical - Understanding of financial, client and operational data with ability to interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends. Analyze and assess key business drivers, derive key insights, develop recommendations and implement changes. Stay abreast of and demonstrate strong understanding of industry and competitive positioning and developments in Canada. Evaluate competitive best practices to formulate new ideas and execute to remain competitive.
Relationship building – Interact and build relationships internal and external to CIBC. When issues are identified, you effectively can oversee and monitor the development of right-sized solutions across business units. You will be interacting with Vendors/Suppliers, Sales, Credit Adjudication, Telephone Banking and Retail Operations, etc... You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal groups and other business units within CIBC.
Product & business management - Work closely with vendors and internal groups to ensure effective and efficient business and operating processes are in place and are implemented and managed appropriately to support excellent client service, growth and profitability, as well as all product changes are implemented on a timely basis, all forms and supporting materials and processes are updated, and all necessary parties, including clients, are informed of changes. Develop and implement new processes and procedures, defining criteria and monitor on-going compliance. Collaborate with key partners (e.g., Retail Operations, Fraud, Collections, Recovery, and external vendors) to assess current state features and processes and work with the partners to enhance. Work closely with partners to execute effectively, to optimize sales and growth, build positive client experiences, and ultimately drive portfolio growth. Communicate business strategy and initiative updates to large groups of people via presentation formats to deliver clear, concise and effective communication.
Project management & continuous improvement - Develop proposals, assess the impact to technology, back office, as well as effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes, and make recommendations. Develop recommendations inclusive of research market activities to end to end management of various operational efficiency and BAU initiatives including implementation and testing plans with vendors and internal CIBC partners, in addition to developing, updating and implementing processes and procedures. Identify, design, develop and implement key product processes and procedures that support the delivery of multiple key product initiatives for the Auto Finance business.
Who you are
You can demonstrate extensive experience in product management, initiative management, strategic planning, and partnerships sufficient to identify, develop, and implement approved initiatives (experience preferably in financial services). It's an asset if you have strong problem-solving and communication skills, and financial acumen.
