The Role
We are looking for a strategic and customer-focused Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead the global go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Morningstar's Credit Analytics products. You will drive growth by delivering deep market insights, compelling product positioning and messaging, and highly effective demand generation programs.
This role is ideal for someone who is not just an executor but a strategic leader-a product marketer who deeply understands customer pain points, knows how to craft compelling product stories, and can translate business objectives into data-driven GTM strategies that drive measurable impact.
You will work closely with Product, Digital Marketing, and Business Development teams to ensure our positioning is differentiated, our messaging resonates, and our marketing efforts deliver results.
This role reports to the Head of Product and is based in our New York office. We follow a hybrid policy of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and continuously refine a global GTM strategy for our credit analytics products and services, ensuring differentiation and customer impact.
- Be the voice of the customer, leading market research, segmentation, and buyer persona development to deeply understand our audience.
- Craft compelling product positioning and messaging that goes beyond features and speaks to real customer needs, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, identifying opportunities for differentiation and sharpening our value proposition.
- Design and execute data-driven demand generation programs that drive lead acquisition, nurture engagement, and improve customer conversion.
- Develop a global content marketing strategy, leveraging thought leadership to position Morningstar Credit Analytics as an industry authority.
- Collaborate with Sales to create high-impact enablement materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies) that improve conversion and retention.
- Define success metrics and report on product marketing performance, using data-driven insights to optimize strategy and execution.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on GTM strategy, demand generation, and positioning.
- Proven track record of developing and executing ongoing GTM strategies that adapt to market changes.
- Strong storytelling and messaging skills-able to translate complex financial concepts into compelling, customer-centric narratives.
- Experience conducting competitive analysis and customer research to inform strategy.
- Hands-on experience in digital marketing and demand generation, particularly email marketing, marketing automation (e.g., Pardot, Marketo), and campaign optimization.
- Highly data-driven approach, with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing initiatives.
- Strong ability to collaborate across Product, Sales, and Marketing to drive business impact.
- Ability to lead and mentor other product marketers, shaping the global product marketing function.
- Financial services, credit ratings, or B2B SaaS experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to travel globally as needed.
