Since 2011, we have been tirelessly delivering on our promises to people who send money around the world. Today, we are reimagining global financial services and building products that extend beyond traditional barriers to give customers access to more of the services they need, no matter where they call home. Join over 2,700 employees worldwide who are growing their careers with purpose and connection with our customers while having a positive impact on millions of people around the globe.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our Fraud Program team within the Identity & Trust Organization. You will develop and own high-impact programs that reduce fraud-related losses and mitigate systemic risks. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role best suited for a candidate who thrives in ambiguity, thinks systemically, and drives clarity across stakeholders without needing tight boundaries or explicit direction.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Fraud Program Management and work closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, analytics, compliance, and operations. This is a hybrid role within Remitly's New Westminster, Canada office.

You Will:

  • Independently define and lead the development of fraud prevention strategies that span products, geographies, and operational domains.
  • Translate fraud risk insights into strategic initiatives, working across product, engineering, and analytics to build scalable fraud controls and platform improvements.
  • Perform fraud risk assessments for new products and geographic expansions, driving the delivery of business requirements from discovery through implementation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate major incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, stakeholder alignment, and long-term solution delivery.
  • Coach and delegate workstreams to other team members or collaborators to ensure velocity and coverage across a growing fraud landscape.
  • Define and track program goals, risks, and success metrics; drive alignment across stakeholders.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in program management within a technical domain, ideally within a fraud, trust & safety, or risk context.
  • Bachelor's degree, financial crimes related certifications (CFE, CFCS, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical fluency; ability to engage with engineers and analysts on system behavior and product architecture.
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace
  • Basic SQL experience
  • Proven ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments, building fraud controls from the ground up for new/changing products, including extensive experience in rule design, model implementation, and tooling enhancements
  • Prior experience in payments, fintech, remittances, or money movement is a plus.
  • Occasionally, you will be asked to provide your support during non-business hours when we are experiencing an acute attack. This role is exempt from overtime pay.
