About the role:
In this role, you will work closely with product managers, project managers, developers, and operations to figure out automatic quality control solutions to ensure the highest level of quality for new development and enhancements on Morningstar Direct.
This role will be based in our Toronto office. We follow a hybrid policy of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work.
Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate requirements and tasks' acceptance criteria
  • Work with product manager and business analyst to clarify any requirements doubts
  • Develop and execute test plan, detailed functional test cases based on requirements
  • Assure the product quality via manual and automation functional testing
  • Collaborate with automation QA on automation testing and performance testing
  • Collaborates with the development team on bug fixes through closing
  • Communicate professionally at all levels within and across teams on test status and test results
  • Supports, design, develop and enhance test process and test reporting
  • Mentors and provides training assistance to QA engineers


Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer, Finance, Math related
  • At least 7+ yrs quality assurance experience in Agile development
  • Minimum 3+ yrs experience as Sr QA engineer or QA lead
  • Experience with integration testing between applications
  • 3+ yrs experience of automation test experience
  • Team player and self-starter
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • Financial Services industry experience is preferred
