ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Recruiter will work closely with the Director of Talent to execute full-cycle recruitment and support with employment branding initiatives. As one of Canada’s fastest growing agencies, the Talent Acquisition Lead will lead Global recruitment efforts across a breadth of role types including Creative, Social Media, Digital & Developer, Media, Strategy, XM/Accounts, and more for Salt XC and the Kitchen NA. 
For an entrepreneurial candidate, this role offers an exciting opportunity to think outside the box on developing a stand-out recruiting practice. In partnership with our Department Leads and the People & Culture team, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment to help us attract the best talent in the industry. 


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Liaise with Salt’s senior managers and department leads to proactively identify upcoming resource needs and build a plan of recruiting activities accordingly 
  • Manage the full recruitment process starting with the assessment of current and future needs, writing job descriptions and job postings, sourcing, vetting and offering candidates 
  • Lead the candidate experience for select, priority roles at Saltand The Kitchen
  • Audit and improve processes and tools for the recruiting process including interview guides, briefing document, and materials to present candidates 
  • Support with the ongoing strategic development of recruiting processes by identifying competitive landscapes, providing insight on competitive benchmarking, defining candidate populations, and refining the employer brand 
  • Collaborate on the strategy to build a diverse pipeline of talent; manage the mix of sourcing opportunities 
  • Support with building the employer brand through virtual and in-person recruiting opportunities like career fairs, social media and thought-leadership content 
  • Maintain and update all recruitment metrics and relevant information to ensure accurate reporting 
  • Manage team of internal recruiters external recruitment partners; assign them to requisitions based on time-to-hire and time-to-fill goals 
  • Effectively manage consultative relationships with multiple Hiring Managers simultaneously, providing attentive service to all 
  • Identify employer brand opportunities that can drive specific recruitment challenges & partner with the brand team to bring those ideas using strong KPIs and sound brand strategy. 
  • Monitor and update the Applicant Tracking System; identify opportunities for efficiencies and a better candidate experience, as they move through the consideration process 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS 

  • 5+ years in a recruitment / talent acquisition focused role, ideally within an agency environment; experience recruiting for Creative & Digital roles is an asset
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed for Employers is an asset
  • Proven experience recruiting for a specific set of talent who have been hired and remained in role for a period of time. 
  • Exceptional  interpersonal skills to provide guidance, support and direction to new hires & internal teams
  • Collaborative; actively looking for more efficient ways to support the team
  • Influential personality & excellent negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset & strong work ethic
  • Recruitment in agency setting and/or Creative roles is an asset
  • Experience managing recruiting staff to include coaching, performance reviews, problem resolution, process compliance and reporting
  • Experience consulting, presenting, and communicating with executives and other key stakeholders
