Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will lead and foster deep relationships with Moneris' most strategic partners that are business critical to Moneris' operations. These strategic product partnerships develop mutually beneficial value to partners while accelerating engagement across the Moneris offerings. Scope includes Moneris important go-to-market products in small-medium business (SMB) and Large Account/Key Account (LAKA) markets, or any partner that provides a critical service/product for Moneris key solutions.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Partner Management.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Lead overall strategic direction and goals of partner portfolio. Work collaboratively across the business to deliver an excellent partner experience and solidify Moneris' reputation as a market leader.

  • Communicate and engage partners and leaders to ensure understanding and awareness of opportunities for partnership integration and growth. Articulate vision and socialize partner portfolio strategy and gaps within portfolio.

  • Accountable and measured on either cost efficiencies or partner related margin targets tied to overall product strategies. Lead both partner and Moneris internally to achieve mutually agreed to KPI's tied to key activities.

  • High impact position. Assume a strategic mindset while influencing peers and the individuals in the Management Leadership Team (MLT). Provide progress reports on key strategic partnerships to key MLT including cost reduction/revenue target status, KPI reporting, analytical trends and overall health of partnership. Comfortable presenting to MLT level on partnership with minimal coaching required. Promote action from MLT members where required.

  • Identify and lead potential opportunities for product enhancements tied to partnership including market analysis, business case (together with Finance) and sales engagement. Can develop a compelling business case with little coaching.

  • Complete regular business reviews and development of an annual partner plan for each strategic partner.

  • Be a mentor/coach to team members on how to more effectively guide improvements within partner portfolios.

  • Lead complex contract renegotiations with assigned partners together with input and interactions with all team members.

  • Maintain a high level of transparency and communication through proactive interactions with internal partners. Monitor service levels and management of escalations promptly.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • 7+ years managing partnerships / key relationships

  • Technical understanding preferably in the software / product life cycle

  • Must have planning, project and portfolio management experience with project lifecycle management in a technology-dependent environment.

  • Experience identifying opportunities, gaps or improvements, and recommending solutions to complex issues.

  • Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Identify important features in software solutions, and how they fit with / compare to existing tech-stack

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal), Bilingual French is an asset

  • Proven ability to build successful business relationships and influence up, down and across the organization.

  • Innovative, resilient, team player, results oriented, adaptable to frequent changes, willing to create ahead even if risky or unclear

  • Navigate the complexity of the organization and work with others to progressively improve Partner Management
