About the role:
We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Applied Team, focused on designing, building, and deploying scalable tools and products supporting our applied team. The ideal candidate will excel at tackling complex challenges, be comfortable partnering with XFN researchers and engineers to bring new features and capabilities, and enjoy working at a fast pace on a variety of tasks. Your responsibilities will also include working closely with cross-functional teams, like the platform team, to ensure that these systems integrate seamlessly and support the broader goals of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, Design, develop, and maintain robust solutions to enhance our workflow developments. Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to create scalable, efficient systems.
- Work collaboratively with peers across different teams to support and enhance a shared technical infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and peers, setting high standards for code quality and engineering best practices.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
- Promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications:
- MS or PhD Degree in Computer Science or related practical experience.
- +3 years of experience in leading and developing software solutions for customer-facing platforms.
- Proven record of establishing and promoting a culture of high-quality software development, consistently setting and upholding the highest standards of coding excellence and documentation within the company
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, debug code efficiently, and automate routine tasks to enhance system functionality.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions to varied audiences.
- Strong problem-solving ability and the ability to work in ambiguous and constantly evolving environment
- Proficient in Python, with experience in writing high-quality, maintainable code. Familiarity with additional programming languages is a plus.
- Plus if you have experience working on Trust & Safety / Integrity related areas.
- Plus if you have past experience in Generative AI space.
