Cribl Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our mission to unlock the value of all observability data. Cribl provides users a new level of observability, intelligence and control over their real-time data. You will join a team of Engineers who are committed to shipping only high-quality software and enjoying all the goat gifs the internet has to offer. This role is remote and you will be part of the Engineering productivity team, where you will contribute to our goal of building the best Engineering toolchain in existence.

Our Engineering Productivity team sits within the Infrastructure and SRE org, whose charter is to deliver robust, reliable, and secure services to ensure Cribl Engineering & customer success.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will...

  • Develop and implement processes and systems to improve productivity and efficiency across the organization
  • Conduct data analysis and design experiments to test and validate proposed solutions
  • Identifying bottlenecks, deploying process improvements, reducing manual tasks, and developing tools to increase throughput and quality
  • Build a deep understanding of our engineering culture, tools and practices. Identify what works and what needs improvement.
  • Engage with engineers to understand their needs, concerns and desires.
  • Work with the team to improve the overall development experience, reduce friction, remove bottlenecks and assure quality, security and reliability across the entire SDLC.
  • Uncover risks and seek out inefficiencies, waste and bottlenecks across the SDLC.
  • Participate in on-call.

If You Got It, We Want It:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Devtools, DevOps or Engineering productivity role.
  • In-depth experience with CI/CD pipelines such as BitBucket, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc
  • Experience with enterprise-scale engineering environments.
  • Development with Python, Bash or TypeScript in a Linux or Mac environment.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code.
  • Passionate about Developer Productivity.
  • Comfortable working with AI-driven software to optimize workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with a high level of autonomy and working with a distributed team
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Salary Range ($150,000 - $200,000 CSD)

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.
