About Us

Suger helps B2B companies sell through cloud marketplaces (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, Alibaba, Snowflake), the fastest-growing sales channel in enterprise software. We remove the operational mess behind marketplace sales with an API-first revenue platform. Launched in 2022, we take the tech debt out of marketplace sales by providing an API-first approach to quote-to-cash, billing, and revenue workflows.

We’re now expanding our platform with AI-powered agents and infrastructure that automate and optimize complex enterprise workflows across pricing, contracting, billing, and compliance. Our AI systems operate at the core of customer revenue operations, requiring strong foundations in distributed systems, data integrity, and cloud-scale reliability.
We work with over 200 B2B customers, ranging from large enterprises like Snowflake and Intel to fast-growing startups like Glean and Vanta. We are a Series A startup backed by Threshold VC, Craft Ventures, Intel Capital, and Y Combinator.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Solutions who combines deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing communication, with an increasing focus on AI-powered workflows and integrations. You’ll partner directly with engineering teams at high-growth startups and large enterprises to design and implement integrations, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide customers end-to-end, from discovery and onboarding through go-live.

This role is based in Vancouver, Canada. We use a hybrid work model, with 4 days per week in the Downtown office.

In this role, you'll:

  • Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and map workflows to Suger’s APIs, integrations, and AI-powered automation.
  • Lead technical discovery, demos, walkthroughs, and AI-enabled proof-of-concepts, helping customers understand how intelligent workflows fit into their systems.
  • Guide customers through onboarding, implementation, and go-live, including AI-assisted workflows that automate marketplace and billing processes.
  • Troubleshoot API issues, investigate logs, validate configurations, and support escalations across both traditional services and AI-backed components.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to reproduce issues, debug complex systems, and ensure clear technical handoffs.
  • Partner with Product and Customer Success to surface customer needs, especially around AI reliability, explainability, and automation, and influence the roadmap.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and sample code for APIs, integrations, and AI-powered workflows.
  • Translate complex technical and AI-related concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support Sales with technical alignment throughout the deal cycle, including positioning AI-driven value in customer conversations.

We're seeking someone with experience including:

  • 4+ years in a Software Engineer (solutions-focused), Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical customer-facing role.
  • Ability to read and write code (JavaScript, Python, Go preferred, or similar).
  • Experience debugging backend systems, APIs, or cloud-based applications.
  • Strong communication skills with professional English proficiency, and the ability to explain technical problems and solutions clearly and pragmatically.
  • Comfort working directly with enterprise engineering teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting both pre-sales and post-sales technical activities.
  • Interest in or experience with AI-enabled systems, such as automation platforms, AI agents, or LLM-backed services (hands-on ML experience not required).
  • Bonus: exposure to cloud marketplaces, SaaS billing, metering, revenue platforms, or workflow automation systems.

Why Join Us

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 CAD/year.
  • Competitive compensation and equity plan.
  • Work alongside a top-notch product and engineering team with experience at Google, Meta, Salesforce, Pave, Motive, and Square - building AI agent and AI infrastructure SaaS at scale.
  • Own a major pillar of our go-to-market strategy from day one, with the autonomy to shape how customers adopt Suger’s platform and AI-powered workflows.
  • Full healthcare benefits - extended health care, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Monthly office stipends for lunch and commute-related benefits.
  • Fast-moving, flat org structure with real product-market fit and big ambitions where you’ll ship quickly and see direct customer impact.
