Role Description: Senior Software Engineer – Storage
 
Role Purpose:
 
Wasabi Technologies seeks an experienced Storage Software Engineer to join our high-performance Storage Team. You’ll part of design and develop software for Wasabi’s secure, scalable cloud storage platform, built on cutting-edge hardware and software.We are seeking candidates with file system development, along with hands-on experience in Go and Kubernetes. This role is ideal for someone looking to apply their deep technical skills while continuing to grow in a collaborative, agile development environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain storage software solutions. 
  • Build scalable and efficient storage components using Go and Kubernetes. 
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers to enhance storage system reliability and performance. 
  • Write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive tests and documentation. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues in production environments. 
  • Contribute to improving our development practices and agile workflows. 
Requirements:
  • 5–6 years of hands-on experience in file system development or low-level storage technologies, particularly flash and SSD-based solutions highly desired. 
  • Strong programming skills in Go (Golang); experience with Kubernetes in production environments. 
  • Solid understanding of Linux Kernel, storage stacks, and filesystem behavior. 
  • Experience with distributed systems and modern API design (REST, gRPC, Swagger). 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Knowledge/Experience of file system (ext3, zfs, wafl,ntfs, etc.) internals and storage protocols (NFS, SMB, S3, FC, iSCSI, NVMe and NVMe-over-Fabrics) is desired. 
  • Experience with data replication and mirroring solutions is desired.
