The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, Web on our Frontend Core Team, you are responsible for tackling challenging problems at the heart of our web application development, building and maintaining the front-end platform that empowers our application teams.
This includes developing and supporting critical infrastructure components, such as tooling for developers, reusable SDKs for consistent functionality, and foundational modules like routing, analytics, observability instrumentation, and build/release tools. You will work in close collaboration with the broader web engineering group. A deep understanding of modern front-end architecture and a passion for creating robust and scalable systems are essential for success in this role.

The Frontend Core Team powers our mobile and web development efforts. We collaborate closely with other development teams, providing the essential SDKs, tools, and components they need to build applications. Our focus is on ensuring the performance, scalability, and maintainability of the entire platform.
Tech Stack

We're committed to a modern and efficient development environment. Our Web tech stack includes React, TypeScript, Node, and a suite of powerful tools like Turbo, ESLint, Prettier, Firebase (for web hosting), Vite, and Jest, enabling us to build high-quality SDKs and applications quickly and effectively.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain core platform components: Build and support foundational modules (routing, state management, etc.) ensuring performance and scalability
  • Create and enhance developer tooling: Develop tools to improve developer productivity (linters, code generators, build pipelines)
  • Build and support reusable SDKs: Develop and maintain SDKs for consistent front-end functionality
  • Collaborate effectively: Work with engineers, product and engineering managers, and designers
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design and planning discussions

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js
  • Experience with modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite)
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range specific to your skills and experience during the hiring process.

$111,800$148,000 CAD
