The Senior Solution Consultant provides pre-sales support in the development and presentation of our platform for prospective clients and current customers to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform and solutions solve. This role will align to Financial Services (banking, insurance, and investments) accounts in Canada. The qualified candidate will be able to offer domain knowledge and specific technical subject matter expertise to the sales function, supporting the business and functional aspects of Workiva's platform and solutions via technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations, and communication of value-based messaging about the Workiva platform. 

What You’ll Do

  • Execute pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via virtual and onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, lead product demonstrations, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs

  • Demonstrate expertise across all of Workiva’s domain areas - Financial Reporting, ESG, and GRC - developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact

  • Translate the specific needs of the Financial Services industry into Workiva solutions

  • Assist sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives

  • Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, build and present partner specific business cases

  • Ensure customer success by working with implementation partners and Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success

  • Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition

  • May begin to deliver cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers

  • Work with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or 2 years and a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry (banking, insurance, and investments) and the ability to communicate industry trends clearly

  • Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement

  • Experience building processes from the ground up, including design, proposal, and cross-functional alignment

  • Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements, may require guidance as needed

  • Ability to solve problems and articulate solutions to business problems with strong communication and presentation skills

  • Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred

  • Experience with high level technical aspects of connectivity and integration (API)

  • Capability to gather business needs and present a value based, compelling software demonstration is preferred

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Up to 50% Travel

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
