About the Role

Join our Solutions Engineering team as a technical expert and trusted advocate, guiding our customers on their journey to success with Rootly.

As a Solutions Engineer you'll bring technical expertise to customer implementations and demos. You will develop best practices and content around Incident Management and On-Call, and collaborate across Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Product teams to represent the customers’ voice and drive continuous product improvements.

This role requires hands-on work with the integration surface that matters to our customers, including REST APIs, webhooks, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. You will drive technical conversations with engineering teams at customer organizations and operate as a technical partner internally to ensure that solution requirements are clearly represented.

If you’re a developer or technologist who loves discussing technology, working closely with customers across industries, and possesses a problem-solving, can-do mindset, we’d love to meet you as you’ll be joining a team that delivers real value through an industry-leading product.

What You'll Need
  • 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Software Engineer with direct customer engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, data mapping, and integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, and familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Go.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage engineering and executive audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities while adapting to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 3 weeks of vacation, plus unlimited sick and mental health days, and a company-wide end-of-year shutdown to recharge.
  • $500 stipend for home office setup.
  • Learning and development budget at your discretion to support your growth.
  • A fast-moving, high-impact environment where your leadership and ideas directly shape the future of the company.

If this sounds like the kind of challenge and opportunity you’re looking for, apply now and let’s build something great together.
