This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your Role

The Data Governance Analyst operationalizes and drives the adoption of the enterprise data governance framework across the organization. This role acts as a critical bridge between the central Data Governance Office, domain-level data teams, and business stakeholders. The Analyst ensures that policies, data quality programs, and tooling (such as the enterprise data catalog) are seamless to adopt, clearly understood, and effectively tracked from the operational level up to executive council briefings.

Main Responsibilities:

• Framework & Tool Deployment: Support the rollout of the enterprise data governance program, including frameworks, policies, and the implementation of the enterprise data catalog.
• Manage the activities and artifacts (deliverables, documentations, reports) of the enterprise data governance office.
• Drive the communication and adoption of data governance roles framework across domains, coordinate the activities of cross-domain working groups and communities of practice as needed.
• Guiding and supporting data officers, stewards, and custodians by providing practical tools, templates, and guidance. Focus on designing user-friendly processes that make data compliance easier for teams to adopt.
• Cross-Domain Facilitation: Manage regular communications and touchpoints with distributed business unit data teams to drive framework adoption, monitor progress, and ensure organizational consistency.
• Roadmap & Milestone Tracking: Partner with data domains to communicate, track, and support the prioritization of data governance milestones within their respective roadmaps and planning cycles.
• Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and working groups; take ownership of documenting, communicating, and tracking post-meeting action items to completion.
• Stakeholder Education: Serve as an internal data governance advocate. Simplify complex data compliance, metadata, and role-and-responsibility concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date repository of data governance documentation, standards, and best practices to ensure a single source of truth for the organization.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and BI teams to develop and maintain automated data governance dashboards and metrics, tracking overall program progress and compliance.
• Support the planning, delivery, and reporting of data quality initiatives, including the definition of quality scores and the formal tracking of data quality issues.
• Develop, synthesize, and deliver clear presentation materials and briefings for executive discussions, stakeholder communications, cross-domain data committees.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, computer science, or quantitative discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience in data governance, management or analytics functions.

Experience (relevant to the role):

• Experience in program development and using data governance tools and platforms such as Collibra, Microsoft, Databricks, Informatica, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of data management concepts, processes, and tools (e.g., Collibra, JIRA, Confluence), with familiarity in SQL and cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Versatility and adaptability to handle diverse tasks.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Dashboard, reporting and data visualization tool experience an asset (eg: PowerBI, Tableau).
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.
• Experience coordinating with data vendors is a plus.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management skills, including the ability to prepare materials, brief senior leaders, and drive collaboration across diverse internal teams.
